Endacott Lighting, located in Manhattan, Kansas, has been effective in using Tag n Trak’s Query program in conjunction with "LabelWorks," a software program that runs on a personal computer and is used to print labels and barcodes. At Endacott, LabelWorks is installed on one of the two PC’s that are directly connected to the Tag n Trak system.

Query is used to create data files with item and pricing information. Endacott used LabelWorks to print this information in a variety of formats.

Display TagsThe "fixture hang tags" are 2" x 4" in size, non-adhesive and are inserted in clear vinyl "pockets." Item #, Retail Price and "Our Price" are included on the tag along with space for bulbs and blades.

Stock "Barcode" LabelsAll warehouse items have small adhesive barcode labels, 1-3/4" x ˝" in size. When items are received, barcode labels are printed that include the Barcode, Item # and PO #.

Lamp TagsThe Item #, Barcode and Price are printed on these 1" x 2-5/8" adhesive labels. They are attached to Endacott’s or the manufacturer’s tag and can be easily scanned at the counter.

Price BookSpecial labels are printed for replacement glass and some parts which include the Vendor Code, Item #, Barcode and Description. These labels are adhered to an in-house price book containing pictures of the merchandise. The pictures and illustrations help salespeople identify the replacement glass. Once identified, the item’s barcode can be scanned to complete the sale.
